presentation on RedHouse

THE RED HOUSE & Syracuse University
Making a Connection Between the Art Environment and the University
PROBLEM: The 30,000 student of Syracuse University are disconnected from the Red House and Art Culture of the Downtown Area.
ISSUE: Why don’t we know about the RED HOUSE?
- Lack of publicity.
- Transportation Issues.
SOLUTION:
Better Marketing Strategy –
Stronger Presence on Campus
Student Group or Representative
Give SU students a taste of what they have to offer here on campus to entice them to travel downtown for the “real deal”
More Flyers : All Together a better publicity system
LCD Screen – projecting various Art Happenings both on and off campus (in the form of rolling flyers and video because they are eycatching)
LIBRARY SCHINE SHAFFER WAREHOUSE
Allowing Art Centers access to student E-mails
Transportation
Since the entire design department has been moved downtown, there should be a direct route to and from the Warehouse and the Red House – solely for SU Students and Faculty – An increased interaction between people and the downtown area will generally increase the environment
Red House providing interaction for SU students – art gallery spaces for student showcase, rent studio space to students.

The movie "11th Hour" was about global warning and human jeopardy towards the end of the world. After watching this movie, I started to realize that the world is going to end some time and everyone will die. Nothing on this earth will be worth anything anymore and everything that we own/ have will be gone. Work that human beings do on earth is going to be useless and worth nothing. This makes me think if human beings are really worthless on earth.
